So Tom and Damon, it seems, have gotten a GTI. Well, so have I! It’s a party now, eh?

So, here’s the lowdown: 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI S w/Performance Package, 2 door (3 door if you wanna get technical). Also has the lighting package and “monster mats”, basically just really nice all weather floormats. Specced out exactly how I wanted it.

Yes, it’s got 3 pedals.

Yes, it’s amazing.

Yes, it’s fast and drives super well.

No, you cannot have it.

My overall impressions of the car: Holy shit it’s amazing. I love finally having a manual. I love that I can throw it into a corner and it stays impossibly well planted. I love having boost (seriously, I love boost)

It is so much fun. I really do smile every time I drive it.

Congrats! I love my Mk6, and it sounds like they’ve done a lot to address it’s shortcomings within it’s segment with the Mk7.

Good stuff. Dump the tires ASAP for some good summers. I went with the Continental DW after my original Pirelli all-seasons wore out. Wish I would have done it sooner - It completely transforms the car.

YES! This is exactly what I’m going to get! I’ve been saving for a while and I think next year it will happen (2016 so I get CarPlay and Android Auto). Going to get white 3 door manual Performance with the subwoofer upgrade and Monster Mats.

It’s great to hear another satisfied owner, I can’t wait for mine.

Did you have the option of speccing summers? In Canada I’ve found dealers install all-seasons unless you specifically request otherwise.

Nope, don’t think so. Well actually now that I think about it you might be able to order that as an option but I didn’t specifically order my car, a dealer found one with all the specs I wanted, drove it in, called me, and that won my business.
